Tor Van Den Berge
Position: Que Sera Farm Manager
Tor is a unique individual with a great deal of experience on various farms which started at an early age being raised by his parents on a farm in North Richmond, NSW.
Horses are Tors all encompassing passion and caring for them, training them and teaching others how to ride them, seems to be what he enjoys most
To see Tor ride is to realize how much one needs to learn. He seems to be ‘at one’ with the horse. He worked for a time breaking in horses and the count was something like 190 horses a year. He has worked in Germany under Ulf Muller at the PSI Stables and rode for Australia at the WORLD YOUNG HORSE CHAMPIONSHIPS in 2004 in Verden, Germany. Working at the PSI Stables was extremely hard work but it paid off. Tor has listed Ulf Muller as the person he most respects.
Tor loves to teach and is an EFA registered coach. He is very experienced at finding a rider’s weaknesses. He is a hard taskmaster and expects his students to practice after they have had a lesson with him, thus being ready at the beginning of the next lesson to go forward instead of having to repeat the lesson. Tor is determined that horse and rider gain as much as possible from their lessons and his aim is to get the potential of both the horse and rider fulfilled. It is small wonder that clients entrust their beloved horses to Tor to train and\or ride for them, from breaking in a horse to Grand Prix competition and everything in-between
Tor is experienced in all aspects of raising cattle and in A.I. and Que Sera’s cattle are in very good hands. Our cattle command top prices at Auction.

Melissa
Van Den Berge
Position: Que
Sera Assistant
Farm Manager
Married to Tor Van Den Berge in April 2007. On the 14th October 2009 Melissa presented Tor with a beautiful baby girl - Miss Olivia Van Den Berge.
Melissa is the perfect compliment to Tor. Her main horse-riding passion is Eventing. She is a very accomplished 3* rider but she is also well versed in the discipline of Dressage having competed at Intermediate 1 level very successfully. Mel and Tor have worked together for several years now and she is a real asset to have on the farm.
Melissa is highly sought after as a Riding Instructor and is an EFA registered coach.
Melissa works hard on the farm and handles a lot of the riding bookings, ensures that facilities are always ready to accept visitors and can turn her hand too to most of the work on the farm. Like Tor she has an all encompassing love of horses and their well being is her paramount concern.
Again, like Tor, she is a natural leader and as a result, the work gets done and she is respected by everyone who comes in contact with her.
